| PURPLE DAY, March 26th, 2009 |
People showed support by wearing purple and hosting fundraising events in honor of Purple Day founded by
9 year old Cassidy Megan of Nova Scotia in 2008. In Brampton, the clock at City Hall was lit purple in support of Purple Day. Denny's in Mississauga and in Brampton participated in kicking off Purple Day with great activities supporting Epilepsy - February 24th, Pancake Tuesday. More details at www.purpleday.org.

| ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING & VOLUNTEER APPRECIATION, March 6th, 2009 |
The Annual General Meeting held at the Hershey Centre was fun for all. At this meeting members voted to change the name from Epilepsy Halton Peel to Epilepsy Halton Peel. This change reflects the services we are providing in areas of Halton. We are very excited by this change and we welcome all members of Halton to our association.

| EPILEPSY & SCHOOL - How Do They Fit Together, March 3rd, 2009 |
| Public Educational Forum took place on March 3rd at the Oakville Public Library, 120 Navy Street, Community Room where issues surrounding living with seizure disorders and navigating the school systems were discussed. | SPECIAL EDUCATION NIGHT, February 4th, 2009 |
| Special Education Night was held on Wednesday, February 4th, 7- 8.30pm at the Dufferin-Peel Catholic District School Board Office, Room 301.
The meeting was about Kindergarten Entry Planning for 2009, for children with special needs. | A time for sharing when the community was able to learn more about the programs available at EPR for individual and group support (for families too). Another great opportunity to have met others who experience similar life experiences. Both evening sessions were held at 7pm at 71 West Drive, unit 23. |

| We are pleased to report that our Official Launch Party on May 21st was a great success! Thank you to our many sponsors, supporters, volunteers and participants. We had a great time enjoying delicious nibbles from Alioli’s Restaurant. Cilento Wines was on hand to discuss the wine making process, and also treated guests with a few different samples of their favorite wines.

| PUBLIC EDUCATIONAL FORUMS, April 17th, 22nd & May 21st, 2008 |
| Epilepsy Halton Peel has been holding a series of Public Educational Forums, open and free to all. These forums focus upon a certain aspect of Epilepsy and how it affects the lives of those that have seizures and those that care for loved ones with seizures. The Forums provide neurologists and clinical nurses from the region an opportunity to address the community with increased knowledge and communication. The Brampton Library was the venue for the April 17th session while the sessions held on April 22nd and May 21st were hosted at the Mississauga Public Library.
